SmartJoist H2S 360 x 45 2.7m SJ36045H2S27

This 2.7 m length is a Tilling Timber SmartFrame SmartJoist for floors, rafters or ceilings, 360 mm deep by 45 mm thick and H2S treated, with Douglas Fir LVL flanges, an OSB web and 40 mm knockouts.

Cutting

• Do not cut a flange except an end notch at most 12 mm deep, cut clean, no more than 5 mm past the support.

Treatment

H2S covers borers and termites inside, above ground, south of the Tropic of Capricorn. Outside use, even H3, is not recommended, because the shape will not shed water.

Installation

• SJ36045 is not in the Design Guide tables. Do not copy a neighbour. This 2.7 m length is not the span.
• Do not load it until blocking, hangers, rims, nailing and bracing are installed.
• Except where noted, bearing is 30 mm at ends and 42 mm at intermediate supports; the gravity table also lists 45, 65 and 90 mm by spacing and load.
• Braced or sheeted, SJ36045 is 285 kg in the Installation Guide only; the Design Guide platform table omits it.

Storage

• Moisture is 18 percent in the Design Guide and 20 percent in the Installation Guide untreated note.
• Weather is not guaranteed past 90 days, and framed exposure is separately not greater than 3 months.
• Keep packs off the ground.
• Flat under a breathable cover, and upright stacking, are both printed.
