TECHNICAL DETAILS

The proprietary blend of seeds includes couch and annual rye

Includes Scotts Lawn Builder™ Seed & Turf Starter Slow Release Lawn Fertiliser

Features

Lightweight - easy to hold in one hand while turning the handle with the other

Fertiliser hopper holds up to 2kg of Scotts Lawn Builder fertiliser

Check the spreader setting on the Scotts Lawn Builder bag and adjust accordingly using the simple slide adjuster

Suitable For

Application of all Scotts Lawn Builder Slow Release Lawn Foods

Not Suitable For

Not recommended for use with powdered fertilisers - the spreader may clog and break

Not recommended for spreading lawn seed unless it is thoroughly mixed with a granular lawn starter fertiliser

Direction Of Use

To work out how much fertiliser you should put into the spreader:

1. Calculate the area of the lawn in square metres by multiplying the length by the width (1 large stride = 1 metre approx)

2. The area multiplied by the application rate will give the exact amount of Scotts Lawn Builder you need. You will find the recommended application rate on the pack

3. Use a set of scales to weigh it out and then add it to the spreader ready to apply - do not be tempted to add a 'bit extra for luck' because over-application may result in nitrogen burning

4. Select the spreader setting listed on the product bag

5. Holding the spreader level, walk steadily while squeezing the trigger in the handle and turning the handle

6. To obtain even coverage, spread half the required amount in a north-south direction, then the other half in an east-west direction

Features

The release of nutrients depends on temperature - more when it's warm and plants are growing and less when it's cold and growth is slow

Scotts Osmocote® uses advanced prill technology that ensures even and controlled nutrient release with no wastage

Controlled release means feeding less often and more effectively; less frequent feeding is more economical and environment-friendly

Wetting agent improves water absorption into the soil or potting mix and helps plants take up nutrients

Boosted levels of iron & magnesium and other trace elements keep leaves greener for longer and promote healthy growth

Less than 2% phosphorus (the 'P' in NPK) means it can be safely used on most Australian natives

Suitable For

Trees and shrubs including most natives and other phosphorus-sensitive plants

Flowering and leafy annuals, perennials, climbers and groundcovers

Vegetables, herbs and fruits

Potted plants including vegetables, herbs, palms and indoor plants

Safe to use on all new plants - the controlled release of nutrients means it will not burn soft leaves or tender young roots

Features

Acts quickly because its nitrogen is highly soluble and available to grasses immediately after application and watering in. It also contains boosted iron and magnesium levels to feed and green your lawn

The traditional benefits of slow release of nutrients with controlled feeding, which eliminate waste through run-off and leaching and prevent burning, are also available from Extreme Green

Traditional lawn foods release or 'dump' most of their nutrients within a couple of weeks of application, causing a rapid surge in growth that quickly drops off again as the food supply diminishes. Scotts Lawn Builder™ uses patented time-release technology to ensure nutrients are released slowly and continuously over a three month period

Extreme Green has less than 0.5% phosphorus, which means it can be safely used anywhere in Australia without posing any risk to ground or surface water

The recommended application rate is just a low 16 grams per m2, not the kilograms often associated with regular lawn foods! One bag of Extreme Green is equal to three or more bags of traditional fertiliser

When used as directed, this product is safe to use around domestic pets and children. Check paws and feet for granules before allowing pets or children on to paved areas as staining may occur

Suitable For

All lawn grasses including all named varieties of buffalo, traditional couch, Santa Ana couch, kikuyu, bent, fescues and carpet grass

All grass substitutes such as dichondra (also known as pennywort or kidney weed), lippia, zoysia

Not Suitable For

Scotts Lawn Builder™ is not recommended for use on plants other than lawn grasses and lawn substitutes

Do not use on lawns less than 8 weeks old - from germination of seed or installation of instant turf (use Scotts Lawn Builder™ Seed & Turf Starter)

Do not use if the temperature is expected to exceed 30 degrees C - wait for a cool spell

How do I apply it

For best results ALWAYS use a Scotts spreader

Check your model and make sure to set it correctly before you start (settings are also on the back label of the product)

If you don't have a spreader, make sure you distribute the fertiliser evenly over the lawn - uneven applications may result in 'hot spot' burning where too much has landed in one spot

Features

Boosted iron content promotes deeper green and stronger growth. The thicker the lawn, the less chance weeds have of taking hold - they're smothered before they become obvious and need treatment

Slow-release of nutrients eliminates waste through run-off and leaching and prevents burning and surge growth

Traditional lawn foods release or 'dump' most of their nutrients within a couple of weeks of application, causing a rapid surge in growth that quickly drops off again as the food supply diminishes.Scotts Lawn Builder™ uses patented time-release technology to ensure nutrients are released slowly and continuously over a three month period

All Purpose is phosphorus-free, which means it can be safely used anywhere in Australia without posing any risk to ground or surface water

All Purpose has a recommended low application rate of just 14 grams per square metre, not the kilograms often associated with regular lawn foods! One bag of All Purpose is equal to three or more bags of traditional fertiliser

Do not use on lawns less than 8 weeks old - from germination of seed or installation of instant turf (use Scotts Lawn Builder Seed & Turf Starter)

Do not use if the temperature is expected to exceed 30 degrees C - wait for a cool spell

Direction Of Use

How much will I need

All Purpose has a recommended application rate of 14g/m2

To work out how much you will need to fertilise your lawn:

Calculate the area of the lawn in square metres (multiply the length by the width)

The area multiplied by the application rate will give the exact amount of Scotts Lawn Builder™ you need

Use a set of scales to weigh it out and then add it to the spreader ready to apply - do not be tempted to add a 'bit extra for luck' because over-application may result in nitrogen burning

Features

Because of the spreader's drop action, fertiliser is unlikely to come into contact with concrete or paving, not is it flung into adjacent garden beds

Made from durable materials and with sturdy wheels

Comes boxed, with a full set of instructions on how to assemble

Fertiliser hopper holds up to 4kg of Scotts Lawn Builder fertiliser

Check the spreader setting on the Scotts Lawn Builder bag and adjust accordingly using the simple adjuster

Suitable For

Application of all Scotts Lawn Builder Slow Release Lawn Fertilisers

The preferred spreader for applying Scotts Lawn Builder + Weedkillbecause there's minimal risk of fertiliser being inadvertently spread into adjacent garden beds

Not Suitable For

Not recommended for use with powdered fertilisers - the spreader may clog and break

Not recommended for spreading lawn seed unless it is thoroughly mixed with a granular lawn starter fertiliser

Direction Of Use

HOW IT WORKS

Scotts EvenGreen Drop Spreader has a drop bar beneath the fertiliser hopper that turns with the axle. This bar has rows of granule-sized indentations along it that are filled from the hopper as it turns. It delivers granules in rows immediately under the spreader as it is wheeled along

The most efficient way to feed the lawn because all of the fertiliser is delivered directly on to the lawn

HOW TO USE

To work out how much fertiliser you should put into the spreader:

Calculate the area of the lawn in square metres by multiplying the length by the width (1 large stride = 1 metre approx)

The area multiplied by the application rate will give the exact amount of Scotts Lawn Builder you need. You will find the recommended application rate on the pack

Use a set of scales to weigh it out and then add it to the spreader ready to apply - do not be tempted to add a 'bit extra for luck' because over-application may result in nitrogen burning

Select the correct spreader setting listed on the product bag

Walk steadily pushing the spreader while also squeezing the trigger on the handle. Release trigger at the end of each pass

To obtain even coverage, spread half the required amount in a north-south direction, then the other half in an east-west direction
