Prime Coloured Sealer is a solvent-based acrylic sealer for new and existing concrete. It is blended in Australia, is UV resistant, and helps protect the surface from mould, staining, algae and moss while repelling dirt, grime and oils. Stir it well before use. It contains liquid hydrocarbons.

Key features

• Colours and refreshes new or existing concrete.
• UV resistant solvent-based acrylic, blended in Australia.
• Helps protect against mould, staining, algae and moss, and repels dirt, grime and oils.
• First coat is thinned with Prime Exposure Xylene Blend so it can penetrate the pores. The second coat is undiluted.
• Apply with a roller in an even coat with no pooling. A Viton seal spray unit can be used and normally needs one diluted coat plus two undiluted coats.
• Use a 10–20 mm nap roller on smooth or low-porosity surfaces, and a 25 mm nap roller on rough or porous surfaces such as exposed aggregate.
• A sealed surface can be slippery when wet. Prime Exposure Anti Slip glass beads can be applied with the sealer to reduce that risk.
• Printed colours are a guide. Check a physical sample for the finished colour.

Colours

Basalt, Black, Bluestone, Brick Red, Charcoal, Classic Cream, Cove, Dark Terracotta, Dune, Flint, Green, Grey, Jasper, Light Grey, Limestone, Monument, Paperbark, Papyrus, Peppercorn, Sandstone, Terracotta, Wallaby, Woodlands.

Surface preparation

• New concrete: allow at least 7 days to cure, then clean off grease, oil and other contaminants. The surface must be thoroughly dry. Moisture can turn the sealer white and cloudy, stop adhesion, and cause delamination.
• Existing concrete: pressure clean, preferably above 2000 psi. Remove loose cement and efflorescence with hydrochloric acid at about 9 parts water to 1 part acid. The acid ratio can change with the surface. Do not let the acid dry on the concrete. Rinse with fresh water and let the surface dry completely. Do not acid wash a surface that has been mechanically ground.
• Do not apply below 10°C or above 35°C, or if the temperature will fall below 10°C while the coating is drying. Do not apply if rain or dew is expected within 3 hours, or in excessively windy conditions.

How to apply

• Mix thoroughly before diluting or applying.
• First coat: 70% Prime Coloured Sealer and 30% Prime Exposure Xylene Blend. On dense or steel-trowelled concrete, thin the first coat to 50% sealer so it can penetrate.
• Apply an even coat with no pooling. At 25°C, wait at least 2 hours before the second coat. Cooler or more humid conditions need longer.
• Second coat: undiluted Prime Coloured Sealer.
• Do not drive or park on the coated surface for 7 days, so the resin can harden. Resin hardness can take up to 7 days at 25°C and 50% relative humidity.
• Clean equipment with Prime Exposure Xylene and let it dry.

Resealing

Pressure clean and let the surface dry. Apply Prime Exposure Xylene Blend to reactivate the existing sealer and help the new coat penetrate. Wait at least 4 hours, then apply one undiluted coat of Prime Coloured Sealer. Do not drive or park on it for 7 days.

Prime Anti-Slip is a transparent crushed glass additive that creates a durable, pedestrian-friendly anti-slip finish on sealed concrete surfaces. UV resistant and more durable than polymer alternatives, it won't break down in sunlight, is easy to apply, resists contaminants, is cost-effective, and will only darken the coating by up to 5%, depending on the application concentration.

[additional]

Prime Anti Crete is a high-performance protective coating that prevents wet concrete from bonding to tools, equipment, and other surfaces. Simply apply before concrete exposure to create a protective barrier, allowing concrete residue to be easily washed away with water. Regular use helps minimise concrete buildup, making cleanup faster while keeping equipment and surfaces clean and well-maintained.

[additional]

The Royal Condor Backpack Sprayer is a premium 18L high-pressure sprayer designed for efficient application of concrete sealers and treatments. Built for durability and reliable performance, it delivers consistent pressure for fast, even coverage on large jobs. Its robust construction is ideal for demanding job site conditions, while the easy-fill design with a screw-down lid and strainer ensures convenient operation.

[additional]

Prime Exposure Ultimate Coverage is a premium UV-resistant sealer suitable for both new and existing exposed aggregate concrete. It enhances the natural appearance while protecting against dirt, stains, oil, mould, algae, moss, grime, water penetration, and harsh weather, helping to keep surfaces looking cleaner and lasting longer.

[additional]

Prime Exposure Hydrochloric Acid is a powerful cleaning and etching solution designed to prepare concrete surfaces before sealing or coating. It removes stubborn contaminants and opens the concrete’s pores, ensuring superior adhesion and long-lasting finishes for both new and existing slabs.

Key Features

• Application suitability – Ideal for use on bare or unsealed concrete surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Cleaning – Effectively removes dirt, grime, laitance, and light surface contaminants to restore a clean substrate.
• Etching – Chemically etches the concrete surface to create a uniform, textured profile for optimal coating bond.
• Surface preparation – Prepares concrete for sealers, paints, epoxies, and other coatings by improving penetration and adhesion.
• Effectiveness – Fast-acting formula delivers consistent results with minimal dwell time when used as directed.
• Versatility – Suitable for driveways, patios, garages, workshops, and other concrete areas requiring pre-coating treatment.
• Professional results – Helps achieve a smooth, even finish and enhances the performance and durability of subsequent coatings.

[additional]

Safety Note: Always handle hydrochloric acid with care. Use appropriate PPE, including acid-resistant gloves, eye/face protection, and suitable clothing; ensure adequate ventilation, follow dilution and application instructions, and keep out of reach of children.

Prime Exposure Retarder is a surface-applied chemical retarder designed specifically for creating high-quality exposed aggregate finishes in concrete by delaying the surface set time, allowing you to wash away the cement paste and reveal the underlying stone.

Key Features

• Application suitability – Ideal for horizontal concrete surfaces such as driveways, walkways, patios, and decorative slabs.
• Exposed aggregate effect – Uniformly retards surface cement paste to reveal clean, well-defined aggregate texture.
• Controlled set time – Provides predictable delay to the surface set, giving ample time for washing and finishing.
• Ease of use – Simple brush, spray, or roller application to fresh concrete with no special equipment required.
• Consistent results – Formulated for reliable, repeatable exposure depth across the entire treated area.
• Versatility – Suitable for a wide range of mix designs, aggregate sizes, and decorative concrete applications.
• Clean removal – Washes off easily during the exposure process, leaving no residue that could affect sealing or long-term performance.

[additional]

Wallaby Concrete Sealer 20L is designed to protect and enhance concrete surfaces with a modern wallaby grey finish and long-lasting durability. Ideal for driveways, patios, paths and slabs, it delivers a hard-wearing coloured seal that refreshes tired concrete while shielding it from everyday wear and weather.

Key Features

• Application suitability – Suitable for most exterior concrete surfaces including driveways, paths, patios and slabs.
• Protection – Seals the surface to help resist stains, oil, dirt and surface wear.
• Enhancement (wallaby grey colour) – Provides a contemporary wallaby grey tint that refreshes and evens out aged or discoloured concrete.
• Durability – Forms a tough, long-lasting film designed to withstand regular foot and vehicle traffic.
