Corinthian Entrance Door EXP Solid Primed

This is a flush entrance door. EXP is the external primed skin, ready to paint. Cores are honeycomb, solid, or Blokdoor, and not every core is sold with every skin.

Key features

• Skins are external primed, BAL 12.5, BAL 29, or veneer. The BAL rating has to be specified when the door is ordered.
• EXP BAL 29 uses a solid MDF core.
• A honeycomb or solid MDF door can be trimmed 5 mm from the top, the bottom, and each stile. A Blokdoor laminated timber core has no trim limit on that page.
• Doors up to 2040 x 920 mm need at least 3 hinges. Larger doors need 4 hinges.
• Primed skin does not include the door edges. Veneer doors are not primed.

Finishing and care

Honeycomb doors take flat, semi-gloss, or satin paint. Solid MDF can also take gloss. A Blokdoor core is not for a high-quality paint finish. The top and bottom have an open grain from the laminated softwood core, and hinge screws must be at least 75 mm. Use a light-reflective colour where the door is in direct sun. Hang an entrance door in a weather-protected opening. The care instructions are in the download below. For a 2040 x 820 door, Corinthian gives 16 kg on honeycomb and 35 kg on solid core or Blokdoor.
